Footcare Top Tips

Here are some tips to keep your feet in good condition.

  1. Wear high percentage natural fibre socks, eg. cotton, wool, or bamboo that are not tight.
  2. Wear good supportive shoes, rather than slippers around the house.
  3. Wash your feet regularly and dry them well.
  4. Check your feet weekly for dry skin, cracks, blisters or sores.
  5. Footfile and moisturise your feet, at least once a week.
  6. On a sunny day, sit with your foot over a mirror on the floor, to check the sole of your feet to ensure no sores or problems that may need treating, as you may not feel them.
  7. Walk around to gently exercise regularly to keep good circulation and muscle tone.
  8. Put your feet up on a stool at the middle of the day, to boost circulation, and wiggle your toes and stretch them often to get the blood flowing.
